Te Whanganui ā Orotū Taiwhenua CEO resigns

Te Taiwhenua o Te Whanganui ā Orotu Chairman Hori Reti has paid tribute to the organisation’s CEO Tania Eden, who has announced her resignation.

Reti said in a statement: “After six years working for Te Taiwhenua o Te Whanganui ā Orotu it is with regret that we announce the resignation of our CEO, Tania Eden, who has worked tirelessly in this space for our community and eight marae of Ahuriri Napier.”

“After restructuring and rebuilding the Taiwhenua she has taken us through some challenging times including COVID, the Napier Floods and Cyclone Gabrielle.”

Reti says the Board acknowledge the value and success Edenm has brought to the Taiwhenua and the Marae.

“Tania has valued her time with the Taiwhenua and working with our families, marae and nannies to ensure we achieved health, housing, education, employment and environment outcomes. Tania will continue to work in many governance and advising roles she holds as well as providing support to our whanau.”

“We wish Tania well for her next adventure and know she will continue to work as hard for others as she has done for us.”
