The Extravaganza Fair is a community-centred event with a creative and sustainable focus. It is a family affair, free entry for kids, gold coin entry for the adults. A fun day out with a full weekend's entertainment - from music & shows, to stall, rides & food.

Where: Keirunga gardens, Havelock North 

Tickets: $2 a ride or$20 for a 12-ride ticket. Under 2s and teddy bears travel free. Cash and EFTPOS is available.

Re-New Sustainable HB Markets

When: Saturday 8 April from 10:00am 

Where: 113 King St North, Hastings

The Autumn Re-New Sustainable HB Market is being held at the Re-New Community Workshop and Store, for upcyclers and sustainable product creators. They will have a raffle with $5,000 worth of prizes and an Easter Egg Hunt, as well as Radio Hawke’s Bay joining them, collecting puppets for the cyclone relief puppet project. Entry is free to all visitors.

Where: Taradale Anglican Church, 23 Puketapu Rd, Taradale

What is Easter without a good Easter egg hunt. Come down to All Saints' on the morning of Saturday, 8 April to share in some of the joy as we offer a range of hunts for little children through the older, and those adults who are young at heart. Alongside the Napier Toy Library, there will be lots to engage with and the reward for all the hard hunting work is a delicious chocolate egg or two.

Whether you know the story of Easter, or aren't sure whether you should be waiting for the Bunny or Santa, this is an evening for you. Designed for the young and young at heart, we will explore the story of Easter through fire, braziers, toasted marshmallows, light and fun

Where: Hastings War Memorial Library, Civic Square, Warren Street, Hastings

2: Find a colourful egg in the children's section.

3: Exchange it for a chocolate egg or small prize.
