Celebration of Wharf 6

When: Friday July 22 @ 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Where: The Port’s 1 Wharf

What: Napier Port is holding a fireworks display on Friday 22 July to celebrate the opening of its new wharf ‘6 Wharf’, and to thank the Hawke’s Bay community for its support during the wharf’s planning and construction. 

 

Open Call 3

When: Fri 22 Jul 2022, 8:00pm–11:00pm

Where: Paisley Stage, 17 Carlyle Street, Napier

What: They are back! It’s the third instalment of the super fun show Open Call! Come and watch the local talent of Hawkes Bay step into the spotlight and share their talents with you! This show they are lucky enough to have a not so local, special guest performer coming to join them on stage. So stay tuned to find out who. With a variety of acts and different levels of performing, it’s a fun night for both performer and patron. The show will have a different mix of performers taking the stage. So come along and immerse yourself in one of Hawke’s Bay's gorgeous venues!

HBAF 2022 Taster Series - The Cunning Little Vixen

Where: Toitoi - Hawke's Bay Arts & Events Centre, 101 Hastings Street South, Hastings

What: Directed by John Wilkie and Conducted by José Aparicio. In partnership with Festival Opera, Hawke's Bay Arts Festival proudly presents Leoš Janáček’s operatic fable The Cunning Little Vixen. Whether you’re an opera lover or new to the genre, The Cunning Little Vixen offers a fantastic opportunity to witness the first full opera performed back in the Toitoi Opera House since 2013.

Napier City Rovers - Annual Quiz and Auction Night

When: Saturday 23rd July, 6:30pm

Where: Bluewater Stadium, Napier

What: The Napier City Rovers’  annual quiz and auction night - sure to be a fantastic night. Doors open at 6:30pm, Quiz starts at 7pm.

Table of 6 must be booked in advance to admin@cityrovers.co.nz, $60 per team max of 6.

 

Artist talk with Elizabeth Thomson, Dame Robin White and curator Gregory O'Brien

When: Sunday 24th July, 2:00pm

Where: Hastings City Art Gallery - Te Whare Toi o Heretaunga, 201 Eastbourne St E, Hastings

What: Come along to hear a conversation between two of Aotearoa’s leading contemporary artists, Elizabeth Thomson and Dame Robin White, and celebrated writer, poet and art curator, Gregory O'Brien, about Elizabeth’s exhibition Cellular Memory.
