Where: Urban Winery, Ahuriri 

When: Friday 26 August,  5:00pm - 8:00pm

What: Joe is no stranger to the Urban Winery and we're delighted to have him back! Good booze, good food, good tunes and always good people. Support local artists and support your local urban winery!

Hastings Centre Adoption Day

Where: SPCA Hastings Centre

When: Saturday 27 August, 11:00-13:30

What: Have you been thinking of adopting a four-legged friend into your whānau? Come along to the SPCA Hastings Centre Adoption Day and find your paw-fect match! There is an adorable group of puppies looking for their fur-ever homes. The puppy meet and greet will take place between 11.00am-1.30pm. If you're interested in adopting a fantastic feline, the cat adoption rooms will also be open during the regular opening hours: 10.00am-2.30pm.

Magpies v North Harbour

Where: McLean Park, Latham St, Napier

When: Saturday 27 August 2022 2:05pm

What: North Harbour makes the trip south to Hawkes Bay to take on the mighty Magpies for the first home Saturday afternoon game of the season. A 2:05pm kick off provides families a great opportunity to get the kids to the game and enjoy the razzle dazzle Magpies rugby.

Te Mata Park Working Bee

Where: Te Kahika (the new land). Meet at Tauroa car park

When: Sunday 28 August, 9am-12pm

What:  Join the Te Mata Park volunteer crew for the last big volunteer event of the planting season! They will be working to protect 2,000 newly planted native trees with plant guards and weed mats. What to bring: gardening gloves, sturdy footwear, water bottle

 

  • Morning tea provided

  • The terrain is quite steep and uneven, young children will need to be closely supervised 

  • Wet weather postponement will be advised via email and our Facebook page

High Rotation Record Club • A Royal Treat

Where: Peak House, Havelock North

When: Sunday 28 august, 3:00pm - 7:00pm

What: HRRC is a monthly album listening club hosted by Scott Towers (Fat Freddy’s Drop) and Haydn Middleton (Peak House / Madcap) with special guest presentations from an array of Hawke’s Bay music lovers. Selectors this month are DJ Soph aka Sneeky (Sound Selectors) and DJ Lil B.
