Lady of the Log

When: 15 October 2022, from 8am 

Where: Te Awanga Beach

What: The Lady of the Log is a celebration of the sisterhood of surfing. Wāhine of all surfing abilities are encouraged and welcomed to enter. To enter, boards must be 8ft and over in length (foam boards available if needed). There will be two divisions - Open Women and Beginner Women. Entries will be limited so once tickets are live, make sure to rally your gal pals and secure your spots for you and your crew. There will be a Sea Sisters “stoke zone” set up at Te Awanga point, so even if you aren’t competing come on down, pull up a camp chair and share in the festivities.

 

Napier Repair Cafe

When: Saturday 15 October, 11:30am - 14:30pm

Where: Asher Hall, behind St Paul's Presbyterian Church, crn Tennyson & Dalton St, Napier

What: Bring along your small broken household items to be repaired by our team of dedicated Repair Volunteers!

Our talented team will be able to fix your clothing and soft furnishings, books, small appliances and electronics, jewellery, bicycles and scooters, toys, and other small household items.

Learn some repair skills, enjoy a cup of tea or a cup of freshly brewed coffee supplied by our generous local sponsors Switch Coffee Roasters with a slice of cake or a cookie.

Bring your tamariki to hang out in our special kid's zone!

Free entry! Koha for refreshments and baking and for any successful repair.

Tutus on Tour

When: Napier Municipal Theatre, 119 Tennyson St, Napier

Where: Saturday 15 October 2022 7:00pm

HBAF 2022 - Nuit Blanche - Art After Dark

When: Saturday 15 October 2022 6:00pm – 10:00pm

Where: Napier CDB

What: FREE EVENT: A night of brilliant performances and magical discoveries when Napier’s galleries, back alleys, carparks and lanes will feature contemporary art exhibitions, installations, live music, DJ’s, moving image projections, dance and street performance. Discover the city through the lens of the arts, and enjoy it with the whole family. Grab a drink or bite to eat from the local bars, cafés or restaurants alongside delicious offerings from local food trucks and pop-up stalls.

Jess Atkin & The Urban Cats

When: Saturday 15 October 2022 8:00pm – 10:00pm

Where: The Urban Winery, 3 Ossian Street, Ahuriri, Napier

What:  $15 on the door. Music starts at 8.00pm. Good booze, good food, good tunes and good people. Support local artists and support your local urban winery!

Church Road Live Gwen Summer Session 2022

When: Sunday 16 October 2022 12:00pm – 4:30pm 

Where: Church Road Winery, 150 Church Rd, Taradale, Napier

What: Church Road Winery are excited to be back this Summer with the Live Gwen Summer Sessions. Entry fee payable at the bar $3. This Sunday we will see the talents of Sarah Terry, Kitty Day, JR performing. Please note no BYO alcohol, drinks or food, there will be free water available onsite. There will be Church Road wine, beer and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages for sale. There will also be local vendors heading down for the afternoon to keep the taste buds happy
