Fallen tree takes out powerline in Havelock North
The strong winds that have been gusting through the Bay caused problems in Havelock North this afternoon.
In Joll Road, a tree was blown over, taking out a powerline.
Just before 5pm, Unison was reporting about 200 customers without power due to “unplanned outages” around the Bay.
Today’s wind and rain is forecast to clear this evening, with fine weather and high temperatures – up to 30 degrees – forecast for the next few days.
