Hawke's Bay firefighters extinguish vegetation fire, Clive
Hawke's Bay firefighters spent more than an hour battling a sizeable vegetation fire on State Highway 51, near Clive this morning.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand said crews were alerted to the incident just after 1.30am.
By 3am, the fire, roughly 100m by 40m in size, had been extinguished.
Two fire appliances and a tanker attended.
