Hawke's Bay locals among recipients in New Year Honours

The 2021 New Year Honours, released today, has seen five Hawke's Bay locals recognised for service in their chosen field, and to the community.

The region's recipients include: Inspector Tamuera Aitama Aberahama, Gisborne and Hawke's Bay, for services to the New Zealand Police and the community; William Trubridge, Havelock North, for services to freediving; Arohanui Haumihiata Lawrence, Hastings, for services to Māori and sustainable food production; Carol Winifred Charman, Napier, for services to youth and people with intellectual disabilities and Peter John Goodbehere, Napier, for services to film.
