HB Music Hub supports local artists

HB Music Hub’s live music sessions are a great way to support our local musicians while large scale concerts and events are still a no-go.

Hosted by the Cabana and The Paisley Stage in association with Hawke's Bay App, the music sessions series will take place with a limited capacity live audience. The sessions will be live streamed for those who can’t get to the venue – with the added bonus of promoting our local music to the world!

Local musicians and venues are feeling a bit sidelined during these crowd-restricted times and need the community’s support.

“We have been starved of live music during lockdown and as we start to climb out of it with only a few people being allowed in venues, The Music Hub’s initiative of life streaming is a wonderful thing,” says Roy, The Guv, Brown.

The audience will have an opportunity to donate to both the artists and venues from the live stream page - Click here to watch

The sessions will run from Thursday 28 May to Saturday 4 July with 12 sessions split across the two venues. The first session will be at The Cabana from 8.30pm, featuring Arlo Mac, Fyveyes, Joe Cole, The Drams and Nic Herbison.

James Rochester, owner of the Paisley Stage says “it’s a great opportunity for people outside the region to see what we do here and give a wider audience to some of Hawkes Bay’s amazing talent.”

Harry Mason of Arlo Mac says, “We are stoked to be playing on the first night of the live sessions. We can’t wait to get playing again – it’s been an exciting week as we just found out we got NZ on Air funding for our next single video.”
