11.20pm - After three failed attempts, Anna Lorck has finally turned the Tukituki electorate red. 100 per cent of the votes have been counted, putting Lorck ahead of opponent, National's Lawrence Yule by 772 votes. She has 16,427 votes, while Yule has 15,655 votes.

In Napier Labour's Stuart Nash comfortably retains his role as the electorate's MP. National newcomer Katie lost with 13,926 votes, 4,525 behind Nash's 18,451.

In the Maori electorate of Ikaroa-Rawhiti, Labour's Meka Whaitiri is ahead of her Maori Party rival Heather Te Au-Skipworth by 5,048 votes with 98.6 per cent of the vote counted.

In the Wairarapa electorate (which includes a large portion of Central Hawke's Bay), Labour list MP Kieran McAnulty has left National Party newcomer Mike Butterick in the dust. With 100 per cent of the votes counted, McAnulty received 19,519 votes, 5,411 ahead of Butterick's 14,108.

 

11pm Anna Lorck has clung on to her early lead to look set to be the new MP for Tukituki, beating her National Party opponent by 801 votes with 99.1 per cent of the vote counted.

Stuart Nash will continue as Napier MP as with 99.1 per cent of the vote counted he leads his young National candidate Katie Nimon by 4,572 votes.

Labour's Meka Whaitiri will retain her Ikaroa-Rawhiti seat as she leads her Maori Party rival Heather Te Au-Skipworth by 4,977 votes with 97.4 per cent of the vote counted.

Labour's list MP Kieran McAnulty will be Wairarapa's MP by beating his National Party rival and newcomer Mike Butterick with a margin of 5,411 votes with 97.3 per cent counted.

 

10.40pm Anna Lorck has been ahead in the Tukituki electorate since the count started earlier this evening. She looks set to become the new MP for Tukituki as she leads the incumbent National MP Lawrence Yule by 1,209 votes with 85.2 per cent of the vote counted.

Stuart Nash can book his ticket back to Wellington as he leads young National candidate Katie Nimon in the Napier electorate by 4,643 votes with 96.5 per cent of the vote counted.

Labour's Meka Whaitiri will continue as Ikaroa-Rawhiti MP with a commanding lead over her Maori Party rival Heather Te Au-Skipworth 4,643 votes with 96.5 per cent of the vote counted.

Labour's list MP Kieran McAnulty is set to become an electorate MP by beating his National Party rival and newcomer Mike Butterick with a margin of 5,339 votes with 93.6 per cent counted.

 

10pm Anna Lorck seems to be staving off National's Lawrence Yule's challenge in the Tukituki electorate by inching to victory with a 1,129 vote lead with 65.2 per cent of the vote counted.

Stuart Nash's experience as an MP is coming to the fore as he leads up and coming National candidate Katie Nimon by 4,685 votes with 77.9 per cent of the vote counted.

Labour's Meka Whaitiri is ahead of her Maori Party rival Heather Te Au-Skipworth in Ikaroa-Rawhir by 4,350 votes with 77.3 per cent of the vote counted.

Labour's list MP Kieran McAnulty, who was beaten in the Wairarapa seat last time, is set to win the seat by beating his National Party rival and newcomer Mike Butterick with a margin of 5,193votes with 86.4 per cent

 

9.30pm National's Lawrence Yule is clawing back the vote against his Labour Party opponent Anna Lorck to narrow the gap to 940 votes with 49.6 per cent of the vote counted.

Stuart Nash will probably continue in his role as Napier MP with a commanding lead over up and coming National candidate Katie Nimon of 4,895 votes with 57.5 per cent of the vote counted.

In the Maori electorate of Ikaroa-Rawhiti, Labour's Meka Whaitiri is ahead of her Maori Party rival Heather Te Au-Skipworth by 3,570 votes with 53.7 per cent of the vote counted.

Labour's list MP Kieran McAnulty, who was beaten in the Wairarapa seat last time, is storming to victory over his National Party rival and newcomer Mike Butterick with a margin of 5,204 votes with 64.5 per cent counted.

 

9pm - The Tukituki electorate could have a new MP with Labour's Anna Lorck leading her National Party rival and incumbent Lawrence Yule by 1,832 votes with 39.1 per cent counted.

 In Napier Labour's Stuart Nash leads National newcomer Katie Nimon by 3,489 votes with 38.1 per cent of the vote counted.

 In the Maori electorate of Ikaroa-Rawhiti, Labour's Meka Whaitiri is ahead of her Maori Party rival Heather Te Au-Skipworth by 3,179 votes with 39.6 per cent of the vote counted.

 In the Wairarapa electorate (which includes a large portion of Central Hawke's Bay), Labour list MP Kieran McAnulty is trouncing the National Party newcomer Mike Butterick by 5,459 with 52.7 per cent of the votes counted.

 

8.15pm - Labour's Anna Lorck is currently ahead in Tukituki with a 1,794 lead against National Party rival and incumbent Lawrence Yule. With 34.8 per cent of the vote counted, Lorck is sitting at 7,753 votes, while Yule has 5,959 votes.

 In Napier, the Labour's Stuart Nash is ahead of National's Katie Nimon by 2,245 votes with 27.4 per cent of the vote counted.

 In the Maori electorate of Ikaroa-Rawhiti, Labour's Meka Whaitiri is ahead of her Maori Party rival Heather Te Au-Skipworth by 2,639 votes with 29.1 per cent of the vote counted.

 In the Wairarapa electorate (which includes a large portion of Central Hawke's Bay), Labour list MP Kieran McAnulty is firmly beating National Party newcomer Mike Butterick by 5,549 with 40.9 per cent of the votes counted.

 

8.04pm - Labour's Anna Lorck is ahead in Tukituki, stretching her lead over National Party rival and incumbent Lawrence Yule, to 1,686 votes with 30.4 per cent counted.

 In Napier the Labour's Stuart Nash is ahead of National's Katie Nimon by 2,256 votes with 25.7 per cent of the vote counted.

 In the Maori electorate of Ikaroa-Rawhiti, Labour's Meka Whaitiri is ahead of her Maori Party rival Heather Te Au-Skipworth by 2,191 votes with 25.3 per cent of the vote counted.

 In the Wairarapa electorate (which includes a large portion of Central Hawke's Bay), Labour list MP Kieran McAnulty is beating National Party newcomer Mike Butterick by 5,051 with 38.2 per cent of the votes counted.

 

7.36pm - National's Napier candidate Katie Nimon said at 7.35pm that she was "feeling good" but had only seen "one glimpse of the votes". "Closer than I thought which is exciting".

 

7.35pm - Labour's Anna Lorck is leading her National Party rival and incumbent Lawrence Yule in the Tukituki electorate with 17.4 per cent of the vote counted. She is leading by 1,127 votes.

In Napier the Labour incumbent Stuart Nash is ahead by 2,028 votes with 19.5 per cent of the vote counted.

In the Maori electorate of Ikaroa-Rawhiti, the Labour incumbent Meka Whaitiri leads her Maori Party rival Heather Te Au-Skipworth by 1,528 votes with 11.2 per cent of the vote counted.

 

7.15pm 3.1 per cent of the votes cast for the Ikaroa-Rāwhiti electorate have been counted.

Labour's candidate and incumbent Meka Whaitiri is leading by 231 with 423 votes. The Maori Party's Heather Te Au-Skipworth has 192 votes.

 

7.10pm Labour's Napier candidate and incumbent Stuart Nash is leading by 716 votes, with National's Katie Nimon in second place.

In Tukituki, 0.9 per cent of the votes have been counted. Labour's candidate Anna Lorck is leading by 76 with 110 votes. National's Lawrence Yule currently has 34 votes.
