Watch Live: Waitangi Day Family Celebrations from 10am
Mitre10 Park Hastings is a hive of activity today with the annual Waitangi Day Family Celebrations to mark the occasion.
Ngati Kahungunu iwi Inc in conjunction with Hastings District Council have organised the fun-filled day with music, entertainment and sport for the entire family.
Running from 8.30am to 4pm, between 10,000-15,000 people are expected at this year's celebrations.
Ardijah will headline the event, with their timeless Poly Fonk sound.
Other artists include The Rude Boyz tribute on Bob Marley's Birthday, Bay Batucada, Mafia hip hop dancers, Talitha Blake, Mahinarangi Lawrence and guitar virtuoso Ralph Gannaway.
A strong kapa haka line-up will also be on show. In the morning the sports fields will be alive with hundreds of players taking part in netball, touch and traditional Maori game Ki Orahi.
