Discovery of potentially explosive substance closes MTG building
Napier Library in the MTG Hawke’s Bay building has been closed to the public this afternoon following the discovery of a potentially explosive substance in the MTG collections.
Police advised staff to vacate the premises, and specialists who will examine the substance are on their way, a Napier City Council spokesperson said.
"We will advise as soon as possible when the Library is able to reopen."
