Emergency services respond to fire at Napier service station
Emergency services are responding to a fire at a service station on Main North Road in Bay View, Napier.
As of 11pm, the fire was under control. Anyone evacuated from the Bay View area due to a service station fire this evening can now return home, police said in a statement.
However, residents are advised to keep their doors and windows shut overnight.
Police are speaking to witnesses and making enquiries to determine the circumstances surrounding the fire. Fire investigators are also looking into the cause of the fire.
Cordons remain in place at this time and firefighters are still on the scene.
