Fatal Dannevirke crash victim named as Whanganui man
The driver who died after a crash on State Highway 2, near Dannevirke last week has been named as Hamish Cameron of Whanganui.
Police named the 24-year-old this evening as the person who was killed in a single-vehicle crash at the corner of State Highway 2 and Otanga Rd last Wednesday.
The incident happened about 5.45am and partially blocked the road north of Dannevirke.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash
A police spokeswoman said: "Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time."
