Man dies in Maraenui, police not treating it as suspicious
A man has died in Maraenui this morning after suffering serious injuries.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Darwin Crescent at 10.15am.
A police spokeswoman said the man was found with serious injuries but later died at the scene.
"At this stage, his death his not being treated as suspicious ... or that anyone has done any harm to him," she said.
Investigations into the incident are continuing. The spokeswoman said it is likely the man's death will be referred to the coroner. The coroner has already been notified.
