Napier City Council "disappointed" six native Rātā trees destroyed and dumped

Napier City Council says they will keep planting and nurturing the city's trees after six native Rātā trees along Meeanee Quay were destroyed and dumped by the Estuary last night.

An NCC spokesperson said they were "disappointed".

"Our Parks & Reserves team are determined to make Napier a more beautiful place. They'll keep fighting the good fight - keep planting, keep nurturing our city's trees but they need your help."

They are urging people to report any suspicious behaviour at their parks or reserves to the Police on 105.
