Napier Police pursuit: One taken into custody after family harm incident
Napier Police were conducting enquiries in relation to an earlier family harm matter today.
A police spokesperson said a vehicle of interest was located at about 2pm and signalled to stop. However, the vehicle fled from Police and a pursuit was initiated.
"The vehicle was spiked and came to a stop on Willowbank Avenue before catching on fire," she said.
The three occupants of the vehicle were safely removed and one of them has been taken into custody. No one was injured in the incident.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing and the Serious Crash Unit have been advised.
