No new community cases; 2 cases of COVID-19 in managed isolation

There are two new positive cases of Covid-19 in managed isolation and no new cases in the community since yesterday.

Of the two cases, one arrived on April 8 from India via United Arab Emirates, while the other arrived on April 10 from Ethiopia via United Arab Emirates. 

The seven-day rolling average of new cases detected at the border is five.

The number of previously reported cases that have now recovered is two. The total number of active cases in New Zealand today is 101 and the total number of confirmed cases is 2,235.

Since January 1 2021, there have been 45 historical cases, out of a total of 419 cases.

The total number of tests processed by laboratories to date is 1,959,282.

On Wednesday, 5,455 tests were processed. The seven-day rolling average up to yesterday is 4,524 tests processed.
