Online fundraiser for former CHB shearer injured in Australian crash

The family of former Central Hawke's Bay shearer Liam Quinlivan have launched a Go Fund Me page to raise money to cover expenses after he was injured in a car crash in Australia.

The 25-year-old father of three is recovering in Royal Melbourne Hospital after he was involved in the serious crash in Victoria.

According to the page, set up on behalf of Liam’s fiancé, Jazmin Hema, he suffered injuries to his neck, back, ribs, feet, spleen and kidney in the crash, and has a small bleed on the brain.

The family do not yet know how long he will have to stay in hospital.

His father, Liam, has been by Liam’s side at the hospital and his mother Carolyn and sister Megan were due to join him in Melbourne today.

By early this morning, the Go Fund Me campaign had raised $2000.
