Pedestrian killed after being struck by truck on SH2 near Otane
A pedestrian has died after being struck by a truck and trailer heading south on SH2 this afternoon, police say.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 4.30pm, and confirmed this evening that a 38-year-old woman had died.
The Serious Crash Unit had examined the scene.
"Police would be interested in speaking with anyone who witnessed the crash," a spokesperson said.
