Police dig near Esk River in relation to disappearance of Joseph Ahuriri
Police are combing an area near the mouth of the Esk River in relation to the disappearance of Joseph Ahuriri, who first went missing as Cyclone Gabrielle bore down on the region.
In a brief statement, police said they were making enquiries in the area as part of an ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Joseph Ahuriri.
"Search activity will continue in the area tomorrow (Tuesday, April 16). We will issue an update when we are in a position to do so."
