Teenager in stable condition at Hawke's Bay Hospital following workplace incident

A 14-year-old boy who sustained serious injuries in a fall at a workplace in Napier on Monday is in a stable condition at Hawke's Bay Hospital.

The teenager's age was confirmed to Hawke's Bay App by police, who attended the incident at the PGG Wrightson wool store site off Pandora Road shortly before midday.

After being transported to hospital, the boy remained in a critical condition that day. However, since Tuesday he has been in a stable condition, a Hawke's Bay District Health Board spokeswoman confirmed.

WorkSafe has been notified of the incident. A police spokeswoman confirmed they were also making inquiries.
