Truck driver flown to Hawke's Bay Hospital in serious condition following crash
The driver of a logging truck has been flown to Hawke's Bay Hospital in a serious condition following a single-vehicle crash this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene on State Highway 2 near Tangoio at 1.45pm.
A police spokeswoman said it appeared the logging truck tipped near 'devils elbow'.
The road is currently closed north of the intersection with Aropaoanui Rd. Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency urged motorists to avoid the area and consider delaying their journey.
