Two more deaths in Hawke's Bay believed to be linked to cyclone
Two more people in Hawke’s Bay have died in circumstances believed to be related to Cyclone Gabrielle, bringing the total in the region to eight, police have confirmed.
Nationally the total stands at 11 with deaths in Auckland and Tairāwhiti.
Police confirmed the death of a person in their home at Onekawa, Napier on Thursday 16 February and are also investigating a death in Crownthorpe, Hastings, reported last night (18 February).
Both deaths have been referred to the Coroner.
