Two women in stable condition following serious crash on the Napier-Taupō Rd

Two women in their 20s are in a stable condition following a serious single-vehicle crash on the Napier-Taupō Rd last night.

Emergency services were called to a car off the road at the intersection of State Highway 5 and Pohokura Rd at 11.21pm.

A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesman said three appliances attended and the two occupants of the car were extricated. The Taupō brigade arrived first.

A St John Ambulance spokesman said they transported the two patients to Hawke's Bay Hospital in a serious condition.

A Hawke's Bay District Health Board spokeswoman confirmed the two women are in a stable condition at Hawke's Bay Hospital, as of this morning.
