Victim of fatal Marine Parade crash named
Police have releasee the name of the man who died after a crash on Napier's Marine Parade (State Highway 2, south of the city) on Wednesday night.
He was 56-year-old Floyd Tuitonga Tiepa of Hastings.
Mr Tiepa was the sole occupant of a vehicle which hit a tree on the side of the road at about 10pm.
Police said in a statement they offered their sympathies to Mr Tiepa’s family at this difficult time.
The Serious Crash Unit attended the scene on Wednesday night and an investigation into the cause of the crash was continuing.
