Whakatu crash victim named as 19-year-old man
A 19-year-old man from Flaxmere has been named as the victim of Friday's crash in Whakatu.
Emergency services were called to the collision between a truck and a car on Anderson Road, Whakatu, just after 7.30am.
This afternoon, police revealed the man was Jaydus Hungahunga.
"Police extend their sympathies to his loved ones," a police spokesperson said.
The investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
