Rescue helicopter service hosting open day on Sunday
The Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter Service is opening its doors to the public this Sunday (February 9).
The open day will run from 10am to 1pm at the helicopter service’s headquarters on Orchard Road in Hastings (beside Hawke’s Bay Hospital).
Entry is by gold coin donation and visitors will be able to explore the helicopter, meet the crew, and enjoy a family-friendly day out.
There will be face painting, a bouncy castle, sausage sizzle, ice creams, emergency services and more.
