Second fire causing problems in the Bay
Less than four hours after a major forest fire broke out at Tangoio, north of Napier, another fire is disrupting traffic on the outskirts of Hastings.
Police are asking motorists to avoid State Highway 50 at Fernhill near the Ngaruroro River, due to a large scrub fire.
Police are assisting Fire and Emergency at the scene by diverting traffic.
