Time to have a crack at the Great Kiwi Egg Hunt

The National Aquarium of New Zealand has an egg-citing adventure for children of all ages during the school holidays!

The Great Kiwi Egg Hunt will be running from 13-28 April.

Not just any egg hunt, this is an egg-streme search for 11 Kiwi eggs hidden inside the National Aquarium amongst the exhibits.

Simply crack the answer by spotting all the Kiwi eggs and go into the draw for a 12-month Friend of the Aquarium Family membership.

Entering is simple – just purchase a general admission ticket and you will receive a special Kiwi egg hunting sheet.

You'll become an eggs-pert on New Zealand’s wonderful icon, the Kiwi, by learning some fun facts along the way.

The National Aquarium has a wonderful nocturnal enclosure where day turns into night, providing visitors the unique opportunity to view these special birds.

“The National Aquarium of New Zealand’s Brown kiwi are part of a captive breeding programme coordinated by the Zoo Aquarium Association,” says Rachel Haydon, Project Lead at the National Aquarium.

“They help foster awe and wonder in our visitors for these magnificent native icons.”
