Truck rolls on busy Hastings intersection this evening
Shortly before 5pm the trailer of a small truck transporting empty fruit bins, broke free at the corner of Pakowhai and Richmond Roads.
Eye witnesses reported hearing several banging sounds followed by a loud thud as the trailer arm disengaged and bounced along before digging in to the road, sending the bins flying.
A number of essential workers were on the scene almost immediately to clear the debris off the road.
