Two people injured in helicopter crash near Napier-Taupo highway
Two people have been injured – one seriously – in a helicopter crash near the Napier-Taupo highway this morning.
The crash happened at Taharua, between the SH5 and the Kaimanawa Forest Park.
Emergency services were alerted to the crash, near Taharua Road, at around 7am this morning.
Taharua is between the Napier-Taupo highway and the Kaimanawa Forest Park.
A second person involved in the crash is reported to have moderate injuries.
