Van and truck collide on Napier-Taupo road.

Police can confirm one person has died following the truck and van crash on State Highway 5, Tarawera.
The road is closed and will be for some time while the Serious Crash Unit examine the scene.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Emergency services, including rescue helicopters, have now arrived at this crash site.
Initial indications are two people have serious injuries and a further eight have more moderate injuries.
The road is blocked.

Emergency services are responding to a two-vehicle collison on SH5, Napier-Taupo Road in the Tarawera region.
The crash, involving a van and a truck, was reported to Police at 9.52am and occured between Tataraakina Road and Pohokura Road.
Initial indications are that there are injuries.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area or expect delays.
