Victim of last week’s fatal crash on SH5 named
Police have named the woman who died following a crash on the Napier-Taupo Road (SH5) last Friday night.
She was Aniwaniwa Kenrick, aged 21, from Hastings.
The two-vehicle crash occurred between Kawaro Roadway and Turangakumu Road at Te Haroto and was reported to police at about 9.20pm.
Another person was seriously injured in the crash, and a third person sustained moderate injuries.
An investigation into the circumstances of the crash is under way.
After the crash, police called for anyone who had witnessed the incident or passed by the scene immediately following the crash, and who has not yet spoken with them, to make contact.
