Covid-19: 208 new community cases
The number of Covid-19 cases in the community has dropped from yesterday's record high, with 208 new cases reported today.
Of the 208 new community cases, 128 are in Auckland, 49 in Waikato, 11 in Bay of Plenty, seven in Northland, five in Hawke's Bay, three in Wellington, three in Nelson Marlborough, one in Lakes and one in Canterbury.
Twelve people are receiving hospital care across Auckland, Waikato, Rotorua and Christchurch. One person is in an intensive care unit in Rotorua.
Nineteen new cases have been identified at the border among recent returnees.
