Fashion on Parade to showcase the best of Napier CBD

Napier City CBD’s Lower Emerson Street will transform into a fashion runway later this month for the annual Autumn/Winter Fashion on Parade.

The parade, which will be held on Saturday, April 29, is in its sixth year and had to be cancelled last year due to Covid-19 restrictions.

This year, 18 Napier CBD fashion stores will showcase their winter collections.

Napier City Business General Manager, Pip Thompson, says Napier CBD is the hub of fashion in the region, all with great styling skills to help create the perfect ensemble for any occasion.

"So come and support. Be there on the day and you could win one of many spot prizes including a $300 voucher generously donated by new-to-town, fashion and homeware store, Flo & Frankie.

There will be something for everyone, from well-known brands to clothes for littles from Posties, and Barkers' new dog range for the pampered pooch in your life.

LostArt will be showing how upcycled clothes and preloved designer brands can work. With a finale of brides from the Bridal Studio.

The Hits Hawke’s Bay is running a ‘Win a Wardrobe’ provided by Max Fashions for women and Barkers for men (valued at $400 each).

The show will be MC’ed by Adam Green, breakfast DJ from The Hits, who will be dressed for the occasion by Rembrandt.

To help local stores, local everyday people will also be modelling.

Lower Emerson Street from Bay Coffee Hub to the Jade Centre will be closed from 9am-3pm to through traffic for the parade.

The event will begin at 1pm. In the case of wet weather, it will be held at The Ocean Boulevard mall.
