Black Caps Captain taking on stake in Hawke's Bay Longlands Rockit

Black Caps Kane Williamson is taking on stakes in the LongLands Rockit™ apple site just south of Hastings.

This follows his successful 18 month position as a Global Ambassador for Rockit™ apple.

Williamson’s role as Global Ambassador has been extended for another year.

Mark O’Donnell, Rockit Global Limited CEO says that since involving Williamson the company has been taking great strides in it's connections overseas.

O’Donnell is impressed by the cricket player's enthusiasm and willingness to learn about the industry

“Kane’s spent time with us in Hawke’s Bay, learning firsthand about the innovation we’re rolling out across our orchards, and into our packhouse. He’s taken time to ask questions and understand how we’re growing our fruit"

The company has gained attention in the global markets including into the lucrative Indian and subcontinental market

“During 2022-2023 Kane will continue to support Rockit’s efforts in cricket loving nations, Asia and the Middle East, through omni-channel campaigns driving sales, social media growth and brand awareness.”

Williamson worked with the company on projects including digital marketing campaigns for the global miniature apple brand.

Rockit™ apple recently achieved the Supreme Award at the New Zealand International Business Awards in October

Williamson says he is proud to be a part of the growing business

I really believe that Rockit™ apples are a fantastic product, so to be involved in growing the brand and sharing this Kiwi success story with the world is really exciting”
