Covid-19: 12 new community cases
There are 12 new cases of Covid-19 in the community today, all in Auckland, the Ministry of Health has confirmed.
The numbers were released via a written statement ahead of a post-Cabinet press conference at 4pm this afternoon.
Yesterday there were 18 new community cases of the coronavirus recorded in New Zealand - all in Auckland.
Auckland remains in Alert Level 3 while the rest of New Zealand is at Alert Level 2.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern will be joined by Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield. This will be live-streamed here on Hawke's Bay App from 4pm.
