Covid-19: One further Hawke's Bay death and 281 cases

Hawke's Bay has one further Covid-related death and 281 new cases.

This latest death brings the region's toll to 15, and is among 13 nationwide announced today.

The Ministry of Health said these deaths take the total number of publicly reported deaths with Covid-19 to 723. The seven-day rolling average of reported deaths is 13.

Of the people whose deaths have been reported today, two people were from the Auckland region, three from Bay of Plenty, two from Waikato, one from Taranaki, one from MidCentral, one from Hawke’s Bay, and three from Canterbury.

Two were in their 50s, two in their 60s, one in their 70s, three in their 80s, and five were over 90. Five were women and 8 were men.

Nationally, the MoH said there were 9,047 new community cases and 484 hospitalisations.
