Fire and Emergency seeking community voices for Hawke’s Bay Local Advisory Committee

Fire and Emergency is looking for new members for its Hawke’s Bay Local Advisory Committee (LACs).

Fire and Emergency currently works with seven LACs around the country to ensure communities’ voices and interests are reflected in national and local planning. LACs provide independent advice to better prepare for, respond to, and recover well from emergencies when they happen.

The Hawke’s Bay LAC has been operating since 2020 and the Fire and Emergency Board is now looking for new members.

Fire and Emergency said in a statement: “We’re seeking applications from people with governance and/or strategic management experience, who are well-connected and respected within diverse community and industry groups and able to provide deeper insights into their views and concerns. This is an important opportunity to have a voice in how we deliver Fire and Emergency’s services locally.”

More information can be found at www.fireandemergency.nz/LACs.

Applications are open now and close on 14 April 2024.
