One dead after falling off ute in Waimārama, Hawke's Bay
One person has died and another person was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a vehicle incident in Hawke’s Bay last night.
Emergency services were notified about 7.50pm of the incident on Harper Road, Waimarama.
A police spokesperson said it was reported that two people had fallen from a ute.
"One person died at the scene, and another person was taken to hospital with serious injuries."
The Serious Crash Unit attended.
"Police were working to speak with a number of people who were at the scene, as part of the ongoing investigation into what happened," the spokesperson said.
