There are six new cases of Covid-19 in recent returnees in managed isolation facilities and no new cases in the community since the Ministry’s last update yesterday.

Of the five cases that arrived on May 28, four travelled from Qatar, and one travelled from Brazil via Qatar. The sixth case arrived on June 1 from Malaysia. 

The seven-day rolling average of new cases detected at the border is one.

One previously reported case has now recovered.

The total number of active cases in New Zealand today is 18 meaning the total number of confirmed cases is 2,323.

Since 1 January 2021, there have been 65 historical cases, out of a total of 507 cases.
