Ostmanthus Gardens Lantern Festival cancelled tonight
With heavy rain forecast, the lighting of Osmanthus Gardens in Cornwall Park has been canceled tonight, Friday 12 April.
Being an outdoor event, which has attracted large crowds since it opened on Monday, it's considered the wet weather would make it too unpleasant and unsafe for visitors, and also difficult for the performers.
With the forecast of finer weather at the weekend, it's expected that Saturday and Sunday's events will go ahead as advertised.
